Welcome to Thal. Thal is a fantasy world in which the Fargold campaign for the Hackmaster 4th ed. game takes place. This blog will be the place which general campaign information can be found and real life concerns will be addressed. The first order of business is to decide what days the group will meet to play.
Below you will find a poll to decide which days we will meet to play. Please select all the days you are available to meet. As soon as possible I will post the results and we will start to get this show on the road. In the next few days I will begin posting general world information as well as some more specific information regarding the speific location in which the campaign will be taking place.
For now I have a bit of information to help you to create your first character. The name of the world is Thal. The name of the town in which the campaign will start is Fargold. There are approximately 700 people living within the citys walls and 3000 people living within the vicinity of Fargold. The town itself is situated on the far eastern edge of the Bromin Empire, being the last outpost of the empires power in its eastern realms.
Fargold itself is ruled by a mayor who is appointed by the emporer. It houses a contingent of the empires soldiers who are in charge of defense of the town and police its streets. There is one major temple in the town proper and it is dedicated to the god Odin. There is a small druidic order outside of the town who claim a small following as well. To the northeast there is a small keep in the control of a minor noble. To the northwest lies the foothills that are the begining of a large mountain range. A river splits fargold from the north to the south and leads to a large swamp two days boat journey south of the town.
Fargold is protected by a 15 foot stone wall and has four guard towers built into the wallat the cardinal points of the compass. The only entry points for travellers are at the eastern and western edges of the town along the east empire road.
